Which resin doming machine should I choose first?

When is a semi-auto doming machine enough?
Semi-auto operation is enough when you make samples, small batches, changing product types or simple decals where flexibility matters more than daily output. It is not the best choice for stable high-volume production because output and consistency depend more on operator skill.
When should I choose a 3-axis automatic doming machine?
Choose a 3-axis automatic doming machine when your decals, labels or nameplates are arranged in regular sheets and repeat orders use stable layouts. Saved programs and fixtures help improve efficiency, but the sheet layout and product placement still need to be repeatable.
Can a 3-axis machine handle complex shapes?
Yes. A 3-axis machine can follow saved paths around complex label outlines, including holes and cutouts, when product positions repeat reliably. An irregular outline alone does not require CCD. Test the actual sample to confirm edge control and dispensing results.
When do I need a CCD vision-guided doming machine?
CCD vision is useful when demonstrated print shift, free placement or mixed positions remain after practical sheet and fixture controls. On SJ4060, camera recognition corrects placement variation, while on-screen path tools can help with irregular designs and frequent changeovers. Holes, cutouts, curved outlines or high product value do not automatically require CCD. Sample testing should confirm recognition, path-setup effort and dispensing results.
Is the most expensive doming machine always the best choice?
No. A higher-level machine is only better when it matches the production problem. If your products are simple and regularly arranged, a 3-axis machine may be more practical than CCD. If you mostly do samples, semi-auto may be more flexible and easier to justify.
How many domed stickers can a resin doming machine produce per day?
Daily output depends on sticker size, sheet layout, number of dispensing heads, resin viscosity, dome height, operator loading speed, curing rack capacity and reject rate. Robota recommends checking your real sample layout before giving an output estimate.
Should I use epoxy resin or polyurethane resin?
Neither family is always better. Start with epoxy for many rigid indoor products and test a suitable polyurethane formulation when flexibility, impact, UV, moisture or repeated handling matters. Curvature alone does not decide the resin; confirm the complete substrate, print, edge and cure system.
Can one doming resin work for every product?
No. Resin choice changes with material, surface finish, flexibility, edge design, outdoor exposure and target dome feel. The same resin that works on a rigid indoor label may fail on a flexible or outdoor product. Sample testing is the safest way to confirm.
How can I reduce air bubbles in domed labels or decals?
Bubbles may come from resin mixing, trapped air, viscosity, substrate condition, hose leakage or dispensing settings. Vacuum degassing, stable A/B mixing, clean substrates and the correct mixer/nozzle setup can help, but the cause should be checked as a complete process.
Why is dome height inconsistent?

Can resin domed products be used outdoors?

Will I receive sample photos or video feedback?
Before testing begins, Robota confirms the agreed test scope and feedback format. When available, we can share test photos, videos and written observations as references for machine selection. Final production performance should still be validated with your own materials and working conditions.
Are basic accessories included with a new doming machine?
Included items depend on the selected machine configuration. Before you place an order, Robota confirms the standard accessories, startup consumables, optional parts and recommended spare parts in the quotation or configuration list.
Which consumables should I keep in stock?
Most customers keep dynamic mixers, nozzles, seals, common fittings and selected hose parts. The exact list depends on machine type, resin type, cleaning frequency and production volume. For repeat orders, small consumables can prevent unnecessary downtime.
Can accessories solve bubbles or unstable dispensing?
Accessories can help, but they are not the only cause. Bubbles or unstable dispensing may also come from resin viscosity, mixing ratio, trapped air, substrate condition, operating method or machine settings. Check resin, process and accessories together.
How do I order the correct replacement part?
Send the machine model, old part photo, resin type and a short description of the production problem. This avoids ordering a similar-looking mixer, nozzle, hose or fitting that does not match the current machine and resin setup.
What information is needed for a quotation?

How long does it take to receive a recommendation?
It depends on how complete the product information is and whether sample testing is needed. For simple products, Robota can usually suggest a direction after reviewing photos and requirements. For complex or outdoor products, sample testing may be recommended first.
How should I think about machine lead time?
Machine lead time is at least 10 days and is usually around 14 days. Special customization may extend the schedule. Robota confirms the lead time for the agreed configuration in the quotation or order confirmation. Shipping arrangements and transit time are confirmed separately.
Can Robota support installation and training?
Yes. Robota provides detailed operating manuals, video tutorials and remote setup and troubleshooting support. On-site installation can be arranged without an additional installation service charge; the customer covers the technician’s transportation, accommodation, meals, travel and insurance expenses. The service scope, schedule and site requirements are agreed before the visit.
Does Robota work with distributors?
