Semi-Auto Doming Machine
Best for: Sample testing, small nameplate batches, simple flat plates, flexible orders and lower-budget production.
- Fast setup
- Lower initial cost
- Manual loading
Produce durable resin domed nameplates for equipment tags, product identification, control panels and brand plates. Match the machine by layout, volume, surface shape and use environment before purchase.

| Requirement | Options / Range | Notes |
|---|---|---|
Nameplate Material | Aluminum, stainless steel, PC, PET, PVC, acrylic, ABS | Surface should be clean, dry and tested for resin adhesion before production. |
Surface Finish | Printed, coated, brushed metal, laser marked or film-laminated | Different inks and coatings may affect adhesion, clarity and final appearance. |
Shape / Layout | Regular sheets, holes, cutouts, mixed shapes or free placement | Regular sheets suit 3-axis automation; mixed placement or holes may need CCD vision alignment. |
Production Volume | Samples, small batches, repeat orders or high-volume sheets | Volume affects machine automation level, fixtures and dispensing program design. |
Resin Type | Epoxy resin or polyurethane resin | Choose by hardness, flexibility, UV exposure and use environment. |
Dome Height | Usually 0.5 mm – 4 mm, adjusted by size and edge design | Higher domes require stable edge control and the right resin viscosity. |
Use Environment | Indoor equipment, appliances, outdoor machinery or branding parts | Outdoor or flexible applications usually require polyurethane resin and sample aging checks. |

Best for: Sample testing, small nameplate batches, simple flat plates, flexible orders and lower-budget production.

Best for: Regular nameplate sheets, repeat orders, stable plate sizes and medium-to-high volume production.

Best for: mixed layouts, free placement, holes, cutouts, curved or premium nameplates and high-precision positioning.
| Nameplate Type / Layout | Best Fit / Trigger | Recommended Machine | Recommended Resin | Key Benefit |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Simple Flat Nameplates | Samples, small batches, simple rectangles | Semi-Auto Doming Machine | Epoxy or PU based on use | Low cost, easy setup, flexible start |
| Regular Sheet Nameplates | Repeat sizes, neat sheet layout, stable orders | DJ771 3-Axis Automatic Doming Machine | Epoxy or polyurethane resin | Stable output and higher efficiency |
| Holes / Cutouts / Free Placement | Mixed shapes, varied placement or high positioning risk | CCD Vision-Guided Doming Machine | Epoxy or polyurethane resin | Camera alignment with fewer positioning defects |
| Outdoor / Flexible Nameplates | Outdoor equipment, curved surfaces or UV exposure | DJ771 or CCD based on layout | Polyurethane resin | Better flexibility, impact resistance and outdoor durability |

Resin doming can be used on many nameplate substrates, including aluminum, stainless steel, PC, PET, PVC, acrylic, ABS and coated films. The key is surface compatibility. Different inks, coatings and metal finishes can affect resin adhesion and clarity, so we recommend testing the actual nameplate material before mass production.
Epoxy resin is a good choice for rigid indoor nameplates that need high clarity, hardness and scratch resistance. Polyurethane resin is usually better for outdoor nameplates, curved surfaces, flexible parts or applications that need UV resistance and impact resistance. The final resin should be confirmed through sample testing on your actual material.
Overflow is usually caused by too much resin, low viscosity, insufficient edge distance, unstable fixtures or an inaccurate dispensing path. To reduce overflow, control the resin volume, set a safe path offset, keep the nameplate level and test holes or cutouts before production. CCD vision can help when placement is irregular or the sheet layout changes often.
The right machine depends on layout, volume, positioning accuracy and budget. For samples or low-volume simple flat plates, a semi-auto doming machine is enough. For regular nameplate sheets and repeat orders, the DJ771 3-axis automatic machine is usually the best balance of speed and cost. For mixed layouts, holes, cutouts, free placement or premium curved nameplates, the SJ4060 CCD vision-guided machine is the safer choice.
Yes. Send us nameplate samples or design files with size, material, surface finish, target dome height, monthly volume and use environment. We can test resin compatibility, adhesion, dome height, edge control and curing behavior, then provide sample photos or videos with a machine and resin recommendation.
